WHY TRAIN OUTDOORS?
A number of studies have been conducted in recent years, about the positive impact outdoor training can have on your mind and body. It has been found that the health and wellbeing gains compared to training indoors, can provide significant advantages to your mental and physical conditioning:
- In 2011, a study published in the Environmental Science and Technology found an improvement in mental well-being; “compared with exercising indoors, exercising in natural environments” was associated with greater feelings of revitalisation, increased energy and positive engagement, together with decreases in tension, confusion, anger and depression.
- In 2010, an analysis by the American Chemical Society of 1,252 people (of different ages, genders and mental health status) showed that activity in the presence of nature led to mental and physical health improvements.
Prove it for yourself!
